नई दिल्ली। सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की कंपनियों द्वारा पुराने क्षेत्रों से निकलने वाली प्राकृतिक गैस पर पांच साल के लिए मूल्य सीमा लागू की जा सकती है। सरकार द्वारा किरीट पारेख की अगुवाई में नियुक्त गैस मूल्य समीक्षा समिति ने इसकी सिफारिश की है। सीएनजी और पाइपलाइन से आने वाली रसोई गैस पीएनजी की कीमतों में नरमी लाने के लिए ऐसा किया जाएगा।

सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की कंपनी ऑयल एंड नैचुरल गैस कॉरपोरेशन (ओएनजीसी) और ऑयल इंडिया लिमिटेड (ओआईएल) को चार डॉलर प्रति 10 लाख ब्रिटिश थर्मल यूनिट (प्रति इकाई) के न्यूनतम मूल्य और 8.57 डॉलर की मौजूदा दर के मुकाबले अब अधिकतम 6.5 डॉलर का भुगतान किया जाएगा। मामले से जुड़े तीन सूत्रों ने यह जानकारी दी।

न्यूयॉर्क : ‘ग्लोबल वार्मिंग' शब्द को प्रचलित करने वाले जलवायु वैज्ञानिक वालेस स्मिथ ब्रोकर का निधन हो गया. वह 87 वर्ष के थे. कोलंबिया विश्वविद्यालय ने बताया कि प्रोफेसर और अनुसंधानकर्ता ब्रोकर का न्यूयॉर्क सिटी अस्पताल में सोमवार को निधन हो गया. विश्वविद्यालय की ‘लामोंट-डोहर्ती अर्थ ओब्जर्वेट्री' के प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि ब्रोकर पिछले कुछ समय से बीमार थे.
